About meI am a professor of Political Science at High Point
University in North Carolina, where I teach comparative
politics, international relations, and various specialized
seminars. I grew up in Idaho and received my BA with
majors in political science, international affairs, and
Spanish literature from Pacific University in Oregon. My
PhD in Government is from the University of Texas at
Austin. I came to High Point in 2004 after teaching at the
